Conventional X-ray diagnostics

X-ray diagnostics makes use of the fact that tissues of different densities in the human body absorb X-rays to different degrees and that these differences can be imaged in the form of different brightness levels.

Conventional radiography continues to play an important role in medical diagnostics. It is not only the oldest, but also the most frequently performed radiological examination procedure to date. The radiation dose to the body is very low compared to other radiological procedures such as computer tomography.

We use a detector system that is read out and processed digitally. Digital information offers the advantage of possible image post-processing, i.e. the resulting image can be subsequently optimized without further radiation.
